In the event of any school closure: we will aim to notify parents as early as we possibly can. You will be contacted via text with a brief explanation which we will follow up with a Parentmail. We would endeavour to update the school website, local radio and the WBC website with relevant information regarding a closure.
Mobile Phones: If your child brings a mobile phone into school, it must be named or be in a named purse. If we receive an un-named phone, we may not be able to return it at the end of the day unless we know for sure who the right owner is. As you will appreciate, these are very expensive items and we do not wish to give the wrong phone to the wrong person. Thank you.

Dear Parents/ Carers,
It has recently been brought to my attention that The Book People are running a ‘Big Book Boost’ to raise money for schools, which means that for every order placed over £10, £1 will be donated to the school. This is a fantastic opportunity for both Christmas shopping and raising funds for the school library! All you need to do is click the following link https://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/bigbookboost
What is Big Book Boost? Big Book Boost is The Book People’s brand new fundraising scheme. Every time you place an order with us over £10, we’ll donate £1 to a school of your choice for them to spend on books!
and type in Westende Junior School in the ‘Choose your school’ section. From here you can shop normally. Any orders will be greatly appreciated.
Please note that booking forms for clubs run by external leaders can be found on the appropriate club page
